Supporting these assertions is a widely circulated rumour stating that the iPhone 17 Pro Max will have a thicker build than the previous model, growing from 8.25mm to about 8.725mm. This additional 0.5mm could provide the necessary space for a bigger battery without significantly changing how the phone feels in the user’s hand.

While Apple consistently delivers annual improvements — such as enhanced cameras, quicker processors, and more intelligent AI — battery life remains a top priority for many users.
