Christian Horner made it clear that he’s fully committed to Red Bull Racing, brushing off recent rumors that Ferrari might be trying to recruit him as their future team boss.
Speaking before the Spanish Grand Prix in Barcelona, Horner responded to media reports linking him to Ferrari by saying, “It’s always flattering to be mentioned with other teams, but I’m 100% committed to Red Bull. That’s where my loyalty lies — now and in the future.”
Horner has been the team principal of Red Bull since they entered Formula 1 in 2005. Under his leadership, the team has achieved more than 100 race wins, six Constructors’ titles, and eight Drivers’ Championships.
When asked further about the rumors, Horner emphasized that there’s always speculation in F1, with people moving around, but his team knows the real situation. He ended with a lighthearted comment during the Friday press conference, joking, “My Italian is worse than Flavio’s English — how would that even work?”
He was joined at the press conference by Alpine’s Flavio Briatore and Pirelli’s Mario Isola.
Currently, Ferrari is led by Fred Vasseur, who took over at the start of 2023 and helped the team finish third last season and second behind McLaren the year after.
