The Arab Media Summit 2025, organized by the Dubai Press Club at the Dubai World Trade Centre, kicks off today. The summit aims to consolidate Dubai's position as the media capital of the Arab world, thanks to the vision and patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, and the directives of His Highness Sheikh Ahmed bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Deputy Ruler of Dubai and Chairman of the Dubai Media Council. The Arab Media Summit's ambitious themes and its response to the changing political and media landscape, both regionally and internationally, focus on positioning the summit as a platform for change and influence, a strategic partner in shaping Arab development and promoting its sustainability, and a strategic platform for anticipating and shaping the sector's future. The current edition of the summit boasts record participation and a rich agenda, including 8,000 participants, more than 175 sessions, 300 speakers, more than 35 specialized workshops presented by global companies, institutions, and media platforms, and the attendance of more than 200 media figures from the Arab world. The summit will host a group of prominent thinkers and writers to sign their latest books, which have resonated widely in cultural and intellectual circles both Arab and international. More than five agreements and partnerships will also be signed with global media organizations. Since its inception, the summit has embodied the media as a soft power with a profound impact in shaping societal awareness and motivating them toward progress. It has also highlighted the importance of investing in the media to serve development projects, not only through news coverage, but also through the production of content that enhances public taste, fosters a sense of belonging, and contributes to building productive, educated, and aware individuals.
