Ansu Fati Completes Monaco Loan Move from Barcelona

Monaco have secured Barcelona forward Ansu Fati on a season-long loan with a £9.4m option to buy, the French club announced.

Fati’s Career Shift

The 22-year-old winger, once Spain’s youngest-ever goalscorer, spent last season on loan at Brighton, netting four goals.

Despite returning to Barcelona, he made just 11 appearances in 2024-25 before this move.

Fati, who debuted for Barça at 16, leaves after 123 games, 29 goals, and two La Liga titles.

Monaco’s Summer Reinforcements

Fati becomes Monaco’s third signing, following:
Eric Dier (free transfer)
Paul Pogba (free transfer after doping ban)

What’s Next?

Fati aims to reignite his career in Ligue 1.

Barcelona could permanently offload him if Monaco triggers the £9.4m clause.
