According to reports, the T20 tournament is set to start on September 5, with clashes between the arch-rivals expected on September 7 (group stage), 14 (Super Fours), and possibly the final on September 21.

Although India is the official host, recent political tensions following the Pahalgam terrorist attack prompted the Asian Cricket Council (ACC) to consider a hybrid hosting model, similar to previous tournaments. With monsoon season making Sri Lanka a risky choice, the UAE — with venues in Dubai, Abu Dhabi, and Sharjah — is emerging as the top contender.

All six teams — India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Afghanistan, and UAE — are awaiting final government approvals. The entire schedule could be released in early July.

Rumors of India potentially pulling out due to political tensions were denied by BCCI officials, who clarified no such discussions have taken place. Instead, the successful use of a neutral venue during the Champions Trophy earlier this year helped ease concerns.
