Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi has reaffirmed Tehran’s commitment to the Treaty on the Non-Proliferation of Nuclear Weapons (NPT), rejecting rumors that Iran plans to exit the agreement following Israeli and U.S. strikes on its nuclear and strategic sites. Speaking on Thursday, Araghchi emphasized that Iran will continue to uphold its safeguards agreement with the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), despite a newly enacted law that curtails cooperation with the UN nuclear watchdog. He also condemned Germany’s stance on Gaza, likening Berlin’s support for Israel to "Nazi-style" backing of genocide.
