In a move set to redefine higher education in the region, the UAE has launched its first fully digital national university, aimed at providing world-class online education tailored to the demands of the digital age. Named UAE Digital University (UAEDU), the institution will deliver accredited degrees, micro-credentials, and executive education programs accessible from anywhere in the world.

Why Go Digital?

The COVID-19 pandemic proved that virtual education is not only possible—it’s scalable. However, most online offerings globally remain fragmented. UAE Digital University fills this gap by offering a structured, interactive, and accredited alternative to traditional campuses.

Backed by the Ministry of Education and the UAE Artificial Intelligence Office, UAEDU will initially offer degrees in:

Artificial Intelligence and Data Science

Cybersecurity and Cloud Computing

Business Analytics and Digital Marketing

Sustainability, Green Tech, and Smart Cities

Health Informatics and Bioengineering

Accessibility Meets Excellence

One of UAEDU’s key objectives is inclusivity. Programs are designed to accommodate students in remote areas, working professionals, and people of determination. All courses will be bilingual (Arabic and English), with live sessions, AI tutors, and immersive labs powered by VR/AR.

Tuition fees will be subsidized for Emiratis, and scholarship programs are available for regional and international students.

International Partnerships

UAEDU has already signed agreements with major universities like MITx, Sorbonne University Abu Dhabi, and KAUST to co-deliver content, exchange faculty, and jointly issue dual degrees.

The university’s digital infrastructure is powered by a hybrid cloud system managed by G42 and Etisalat, ensuring both performance and security.

Long-Term Vision

By 2030, UAEDU aims to become the largest digital university in the Middle East, serving over 100,000 learners annually. Its establishment positions the UAE as a global pioneer in accessible, future-ready education.
