Internship Summary – Ahmad Hammoudeh
As a graduate Artificial Intelligence student at the American University of Ras Al Khaimah, I had the privilege of completing an 8-week remote internship with Sohail Smart Solutions. This experience gave me the chance to step beyond classroom theory and apply my knowledge in a practical, real-world setting. I am grateful to Sohail Smart Solutions, AURAK, and everyone on the team—especially Eng. Abdulrahman Awad—for their continuous support and guidance throughout my time with the company.

Key Contributions and Projects
One of the major highlights of my internship was working on an AI-driven content automation system. I developed a web-based tool that scrapes news articles, paraphrases them into SEO-friendly formats using large language models (LLMs), and stores them in a database for manual review and approval before publication. This project not only sharpened my skills in AI integration and backend development but also taught me how to align technical tools with real content publishing workflows.

In addition to that, I contributed to several other initiatives:

I wrote the “Future of AI” chapter for the company’s AI book project, reflecting on emerging trends and long-term implications of AI across industries.

I assisted with both the frontend and backend development of the Public Speaking Club website, supporting core functionality and responsiveness.

I also led the UI/UX design of the platform, ensuring the interface was user-friendly, accessible, and aligned with modern design standards.

Lastly, I helped manage content for the Salem Bookshop website, contributing to the team’s daily publishing efforts.

Skills and Growth
Throughout the internship, I became more confident in working with web technologies such as HTML, PHP, and Python, as well as using design tools like Figma for UI/UX development. I also gained insight into the practical application of AI, especially in automating content processes. This experience helped me grow not just technically but also professionally—learning to work remotely, meet deadlines, and contribute to a team environment.

Final Thoughts
This internship was an important step in my journey as an AI student. It allowed me to work on projects that had real purpose, build relevant skills, and receive mentorship that made a meaningful difference in how I approach problems.
