Hollywood power couple Michael Douglas and Catherine Zeta-Jones are celebrating a proud family milestone as their daughter Carys Douglas graduates from Brown University.

The 22-year-old earned her degree in Film and International Relations from the prestigious Ivy League school. On May 25, Catherine Zeta-Jones, 55, took to Instagram to share a heartfelt photo of her and husband Michael Douglas, 80, kissing Carys on the cheeks with the caption: “We are both such proud parents right now!! It’s only just begun!!”

The proud mom also posted moments from the celebration, including graduation-themed cakes and photos of Carys with her classmates on the steps of Brown University in Providence, Rhode Island. Carys wore a white full-length dress, while her parents donned elegant formalwear for the occasion.

Carys is the younger of the couple’s two children. Her brother, Dylan Douglas, graduated from Brown University in 2022. Michael Douglas also has a son, Cameron, from a previous marriage to Diandra Luker.

Douglas has often spoken about the joy of raising children later in life. In a past interview with AARP, he revealed how his priorities shifted from career to family. In 2024, he told The Telegraph about being mistaken for his children’s grandfather on campus during parents’ day, a moment he recalled with humor.

Celebrating 25 years of marriage this year, Douglas shared that he and Zeta-Jones are enjoying life as their children enter adulthood. "It’s been a good ride,” he said, adding how proud he is of their “extraordinary” children.
