Disney+ has unveiled a major regional expansion plan, with a landmark announcement confirming the development of Disneyland Abu Dhabi—the brand’s first theme park in the UAE. Speaking at the 2025 Arab Media Summit in Dubai, Tamim Fares, Director of Disney+ MENA, praised the UAE as a hub for creative and digital innovation. He emphasized Disney’s commitment to supporting the country’s evolving media landscape through investments in streaming, retail, and immersive experiences.
Disney+ has already partnered with regional media giants such as du and Abu Dhabi Media, further strengthening its reach across the UAE. Additionally, popular content from brands like National Geographic has boosted the platform’s local viewership. The upcoming Disneyland Abu Dhabi, a joint project with Miral, is set to be a major attraction, highlighting Disney’s long-term investment in the UAE’s cultural and economic future.
