The UAE is experiencing mostly clear to partly cloudy weather, with clouds expected to build in eastern areas by afternoon. This morning’s lowest temperature was 20.4°C in Damtha, Al Ain, while Mukhairiz in Al Dhafra recorded the highest at 49°C.

Humidity is forecast to rise tonight and into Thursday morning, potentially leading to fog or mist in coastal and inland regions. Winds will stay light to moderate, occasionally becoming stronger during the day. The Arabian Gulf and Oman Sea will see slight wave activity.

Tomorrow will remain fair to partly cloudy, occasionally hazy, with humidity continuing overnight into Friday. Winds will shift directions and may reach up to 35 km/h. Friday’s forecast predicts generally fair weather with patchy clouds and light seas.

Why fog forms:
Fog develops when air temperature nears the dew point — within 2.5°C — causing water vapor to condense into fine droplets. It’s common in the UAE when cool temperatures combine with high humidity and calm winds, especially at night.

The NCM urges residents to stay alert to weather changes, especially during fog-prone early mornings.
